Information/Instructional Design: Definition

Information/Instructional design is the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of situations that facilitate user experience. The design quality of instruction allows meeting user needs most effectively. Its aim is to ensure specific goals are accomplished utilising an iterative process that adapts models to fit the interactive environment.

The following diagrams shows the elements of user experience. We can see how Information/Instructional design is associated with setting ojectives and accomplishing them by utilising a systematic approach.
